How Maverick WMS works
Maverick WMS runs in your own Microsoft Azure subscription, not on our servers. We don't keep your warehouse data. Here is what that means, in plain words.
Install in your Azure
You install Maverick WMS from a "Deploy to Azure" template. It creates these in your Azure subscription:
- The Maverick WMS app
- Its own private Postgres database
- Scheduled jobs
- Alerts
All of it lives in your own tenant and shows up on your own Azure bill. Your warehouse data stays there.
Sign-in
Your staff sign in with their own company Microsoft accounts (Microsoft Entra ID). Floor staff sign in with a PIN on paired devices.
Email-and-password sign-in, for teams without Microsoft 365, is on the list before launch.
Updates
- When a new version is ready, the owner clicks Update.
- The new version is checked on a staging copy before it goes live.
- If something isn't right, Undo goes back to the version you had.
What Maverick can and can't see
The only thing your install will send to Maverick is a licence check. We're still building that licence service. Once it's ready, here is the whole list:
What we will see
- Your licence key
- The version you have installed
- How many active users and buildings you have
- Whether your install is healthy: yes or no
What we don't see
- Your products, bins and stock
- Your orders, and your customers' names and addresses
- Your team and their sign-ins
- Files you bring in or send out
The only exception is support access, below, and only if you grant it.
Support access
We have no access to your install by default. If you want our help, you can grant us access for a set amount of time. You can take it away whenever you like.
What you pay for
There are two separate bills:
- The Maverick WMS licence, paid to Maverick each month, per customer or per building.
- Azure hosting, paid by you directly to Microsoft, on your own Azure bill.
Maverick WMS is not on sale yet, and there are no prices yet. See the planned model.
